Campaign date: October 5, 2026 · Poster size: 11 × 17 inches · Coverage: Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens
On October 5, Visual Street Ads completed an 11×17 wheatpasting campaign in NYC for The Watcher. We spread the campaign across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, focusing on busy areas to put the artwork in front of people moving through the city.
The goal was straightforward: bring more eyes to The Watcher through a street presence across three boroughs. The campaign used the same blue-and-black creative in individual and stacked poster placements, giving the artwork a consistent look from one location to the next.
Taking The Watcher across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens
This campaign extended beyond a single block or one neighborhood. By spreading the posters across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, we aimed to give people in different parts of New York City opportunities to encounter the artwork.
Busy areas were central to that approach. Street posters become part of the places people pass while walking, commuting, shopping or meeting friends. For The Watcher, the aim was to bring the campaign into those everyday surroundings and introduce the creative beyond an online feed.
The three-borough coverage gave the project a broader physical presence, while the repeated artwork kept the campaign visually connected. Each placement carried the same title, central figure and blue color treatment.
Why the campaign used 11×17 posters
The 11-by-17-inch format gave this project a compact street poster size. Some of the photographed installations show one poster; others show two copies stacked vertically. The stacked arrangement creates a taller display while keeping the individual posters at the same size.
The Watcher artwork was built around a dark figure against a bright blue beam of light. A white title crosses the image, and a QR code appears near the bottom. The contrast gives the creative a recognizable identity, even when viewed against the layered textures of the street.
For an 11×17 poster campaign, a clear main image and a focused message matter. This creative lets the figure and color lead, with the title identifying what is being promoted.
NYC wheatpasting with a consistent visual identity
Repeating one design across multiple placements helped tie the rollout together. A single poster gave the artwork its own space, while the stacked pairs repeated the image within one display. Both arrangements used the same creative so the campaign stayed recognizable across its different settings.
This is one way a NYC wheatpasting campaign can support a release or creative project: taking the artwork off the screen and giving it a physical presence in the city. The layout, poster size and coverage should all support the campaign’s message and audience.
Real installation photos from the campaign
Our campaign photographs show the finished posters in their street settings, including close views of the artwork and nighttime scenes with crosswalks, storefronts and passing traffic. They document the installations as they appeared during the campaign.

Planning your own street poster campaign
Visual Street Ads works with brands, artists, agencies and independent projects on wheatpasting and poster installation in NYC. We can discuss printing and installation together, or installation for posters you supply.
To plan a campaign, send your poster size, quantity, preferred boroughs or neighborhoods, artwork and target launch date. Include your desired campaign duration and whether you need photo documentation or return visits. We review those details, suitable placement options and availability before confirming the scope.
Whether you are considering an 11×17 rollout or a larger poster format, the starting point is the same: a clear creative, a defined audience and a practical installation plan.
